An ICSE Education, From Playgroup to Class XI
Little Stars High School follows the ICSE curriculum, chosen because it rewards depth of understanding and clear written expression rather than memorisation. Our students move through four broad stages, each with its own emphasis, so that the step from one to the next is never a jolt.
Alongside the core syllabus we make room for karate, dance, art and drama, and we run special classes for students who need particular concepts strengthened.
Assessment
We assess continuously rather than relying on a single examination to decide what a child knows. Class work, projects, oral participation and written tests all contribute, in line with the concept-based approach set out in NEP 2020.
Reports go home at regular intervals, and parents’ visiting hours give families the chance to discuss them face to face rather than by note.
Languages
Teaching is in English, and students are expected to use English through the school day while in uniform. Vernacular language classes run alongside, because multilingual literacy is a genuine advantage rather than a compromise.
How the Journey Is Structured
Four stages, each with its own emphasis, so the step up is never a jolt.
Pre-Primary
Play-based learning that builds speaking, listening, early literacy and confidence. Children learn through activities, songs, stories and structured play rather than rote work.
Primary
Foundations in language, mathematics, science and social studies, taught with a multi-sensory approach. Skill-based books are introduced from Class I.
Middle School
Subject depth increases and students take on project-based work, presentations and independent research alongside the core ICSE syllabus.
Senior School
Focused preparation for board examinations, with special classes to strengthen concepts and address individual learning gaps.

Social-Emotional Learning
Morning sharing circles, teamwork projects, storytelling and value-based workshops help students manage emotions, build empathy and resolve conflict peacefully.
NEP 2020 in Practice
Strong foundational learning, life skills from an early stage, multidisciplinary activities, multilingual literacy and concept-based assessment, supported by regular teacher training.
