School Rules

School Attire

All students are required to wear the prescribed school uniform, purchased from the authorised vendors, and to keep it clean and complete. Winter wear should be ready from the date notified each year.

Uniform guidelines cover knee-length skirts, hair and grooming standards, and the accessories that are permitted. The intention behind these rules is simple: a common uniform removes visible differences between families and lets students focus on their work rather than on what anybody is wearing.

General Conduct and Discipline

1. Students should speak in English while in school uniform, whether inside or outside the premises, except during vernacular language classes.
2. All teachers and staff members must be addressed with respect and politeness.
3. Students must not mark, write on or damage books borrowed from classmates or from the school library.
4. Students should return home promptly after school and must not loiter in or around the school without prior permission. Parents are welcome to contact the office to confirm their child’s presence.
5. Students must not wear the school uniform elsewhere without attending school.
6. Any act of indiscipline or misbehaviour on the premises, on the way to and from school, or during school activities will invite disciplinary action.
7. Expensive items — mobile phones, cameras, recording devices, jewellery or large sums of cash — must not be brought to school. The school cannot take responsibility for loss, confiscated items will not be returned, and students are responsible for the safe custody of their own belongings.
8. During online classes and academic interactions, students are expected to maintain the same decorum as in a classroom.
9. Damaging school property, including marking it with white ink, will result in strict action.

Attendance and Punctuality

Regular attendance matters more than any single lesson. Students should arrive before the start of the school day, and parents should inform the office in writing when a child is absent. Extended absence without intimation may affect a student’s standing.

Food and Health

Junk food is not permitted on the premises. Children bring homemade tiffin from home. Clean drinking water is provided throughout the school through our filter system.

If a child is unwell, please keep them at home and inform the office. It protects the rest of the class as much as your own child.

Working With Parents

Discipline works best when school and home say the same thing. Parents’ visiting hours are held twice a week, and we would always rather discuss a difficulty early than address it after it has grown. Our door is open.
